I loved this book and the entire rest of the series! I was satisfied with the ending and I fell more in love with characters the longer I read this book. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a Hunger Games and the Bachelor mash-up!

Cinder

Main Character: Cinder, Prince Kai, Peony, Iko
Setting: New Beijing
Book Length: 387 Pages
Summary: Cinder is a cyborg mechanic. A nobody until Prince Kai has an android that needs to be fixed. Her life becomes permanently changed. A doctor that tests her for the plague, which has killed millions in their new world, finds that somehow she is immune. But wait there's more, a whole bunch of other stuff goes down.
Even though I totally predicted one thing that was going to happen at the end, the rest of the story was unpredictable and amazing. DISCLAIMER: I am a loser and thought the second book was completely about a different character, THAT IS NOT TRUE!!! Don't waste years in between Cinder and Scarlet bitter because you think that is how they ended Cinder's story. SHE DOES HAVE A POV IN THE NEXT BOOK! This book was just so amazing, that I wish it never ended, and it lives on throughout the rest of the series.

I do not think any review I could ever do could give this book justice. It was amazing and helped me in countless ways. It handled anxiety, depression, and a tale of a looming divorce. It told a story I identified with and helped me seek and find ways of coping. I cried and I laughed as I breezed through these pages. Do not let the middle-grade stamp fool you, this is a book everyone should read!

Okay so wow for a supposed middle-grade book this was amazing and I honestly enjoyed it. It was funny at the right times, and intriguing at others. It was just an all-around great story. I especially loved the language and the background created for each of these fairytale characters, and it added to the overall storyline.

Let me just preface this review with the fact that when I bought this book, I loved its concept. I thought it would be interesting but to be honest, it fell flat for me. It was so repetitive and did not hold my attention sadly. I stopped at page 100 but seeing as I bought it with my own money, I forced myself to keep going. And then at page 200 when there was still no set plot that I loved, I gave up. Maybe it gets better after this, but I guess I will never know.
